Why Reconditioning?

II. WHY RECONDITIONING?
USED CARS
Used cars, whether they are traded in on a new car or sold outright, are
reconditioned to enhance their value. It is a proven fact that the value of a used
car is increased several hundred dollars through even a simple reconditioning
process. Obviously, it makes good business sense to spend fifty dollars to make
an additional one to five hundred dollars back. Even discounting the additional
profit, there is little question that cars that have been reconditioned sell faster
than those that have not.
Despite the obvious benefits of reconditioned used cars, there are dealers who do
nothing to their cars. Usually these are the used car dealers dealing in junk.
Most of these dealers do not understand the value of their cars. Unlike new cars,
there is no price set on a used car. If a consurner is going to buy a new car, they
can comparison shop and will purchase from the dealer who offers the best price.
Used cars are always different. The thing that allows one dealer to get more
money and sell more cars is the condition of the cars.

NEW CARS
Today many dealers recondition their new cars, too. Ir many cases the dealer is
forced to do this because of the condition of the new cars he is receiving from the
factory. No one wants to spend the amount of money it costs to buy a new car
today and receive a poor finish.
PRIVATE CARS
Private car owners are paying more attention to their cars than ever before. For
many customers, the days of trading in their cars each year have ended.
Consequently, they are forced to maintain their vehicles.
